Melissa Mercado is an award-winning licensed esthetician, nationally recognized educator, and passionate advocate for the professional beauty industry with more than 20 years of experience specializing in skincare and hair removal. As the owner of The Skin & Body Network, The Skin Bar and The Nail & Wax Room in Connecticut, Melissa has built a reputation for combining advanced treatment knowledge with real-world business education that empowers beauty professionals to grow successful, client-centered careers. She is also the co-founder of the Connecticut Coalition of Esthetics & Nails, helping lead the movement that successfully brought licensing to estheticians, nail technicians, and lash artists in Connecticut.

Melissa has been an educator with Bombshell Wax since 2014, sharing her expertise in full body waxing, intimate skincare, corrective treatments, and client experience with professionals across the industry. She is also an educator and Sensitive Skin Specialist with Hale & Hush, where she educates licensed professionals on sensitive and health-compromised skin. Known for her authentic teaching style, hands-on approach, and passion for helping others succeed, Melissa continues to inspire beauty professionals through advanced education, mentorship, trade show appearances, and industry leadership.

As an International Waxing Finalist, Brazilian Specialist, and esthetician with 5 years in the industry, I’ve built my career through hard work, dedication, and determination. In that time, I’ve gotten married, become a mom to two little girls, moved salon locations three times, and proudly opened my own storefront, Coco Studios, in February 2025. I specialize in results driven intimate skincare and full body waxing.

I’ve received recognition from some of the top names in the waxing industry for my technique, consistency, and confident approach behind the table. Often noted for my advanced skillset, thorough results, and the way I educate clients throughout their experience. My goal is to create an intentional space where expertise meets comfort, and every client leaves feeling smooth, educated and well taken care of.
